Bicycle and cycling infrastructure of Lima

Mostly promenades and boulevards (Avenidas), but otherwise limited connecting infrastructure. Many places with bicycle parking, including public institutions such as ministries or galleries. Good segregated path going through Callao neighborhood. Many serenazgos (neighborhood security officers) use bicycles. Except for heavy traffic roads, cyclists have good opportunities to cycle in the calm streets with slow, local traffic. Lima has potential to create bicycle paths crossing city through the existing green corridors, some such paths already exist in parks or green areas

Sidewalk cycling status
